Wicked Fun

My activity tonight: putting together candy/loot bags for trick-or-treaters!

Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.

Yard Waste Tuesday (with a buddy)

While I swept and raked up leaves, my friend (the chipmunk) collected food for the winter.

Anyone else busy with yardwork this month? Or preparing for the winter? Drop me a comment, below!

Music Monday

So, this week, I have chosen to spotlight Michael Bolton. Recently, I picked up a copy of his 1990 album, Time, Love & Tenderness. I'm giving it two thumbs up!

 Michael Bolton's "When a Man Loves a Woman" (1990)

Sing along optional:

Sunday baking

Today, I made a classic family recipe: tea biscuits. They are hot and ready, straight from the oven!

untitled

how do you know if someone likes you

for you

the freckles on your forearm

your smile

laugh

your conversation

at 2 am

and not for

the title attached to your name

the money in your wallet

your health benefits

your car

all the things you can buy [them]

maybe none of us will ever truly know

what it means

        to be wanted

heat of the night

i don't have anyone to cuddle with

taking back my name

i want my next (and hopefully last) boyfriend

to call me by my name "Melissa":

because every guy i've dated

has opted to call me by a nickname

(i hated).

Spook-tacular

As far as musicals go, Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera is superb. Check out the original 1987 cast recording. I'm partial to "The Music of the Night".

Sunday highlights

I bought this (pie pumpkin). I'll be making a pumpkin pie soon!

I found this (fern). Someone threw out this fern. It just needed to be watered.

I made this (mini-pizzas). Drop by for a slice!

Saturday Night at the Movies

Pop the popcorn!

Tonight, I'm watching Mel Brooks' 1974 film, "Young Frankenstein". Gene Wilder stars in this comedy classic as Dr. Frankenstein. Martin Feldman makes a splash as Igor. If you like comedy, and want to get into the Halloween spirit, this movie should do the trick! Peter Boyle plays the monster...

Two more days of quarantine.

To get to Friday, I need about 100 more hugs from Kyle. Is that asking a bit too much?

Music Monday

Sing along optional:

You're toast and jam

And you are cotton candy

You're double rainbows

Beside a settin' sun

You're wood burnin' outside

There's a fire glowin'

You're sweet as green apples

You must be the one

Sunday Wisdom

Other than pain and suffering, being infected with COVID has given me plenty of time to think and reflect. I hardly sleep at night. Staring off into the darkness, I have spent a lot of time thinking about love, loss, life, and being single.

Thank you card (For Kyle)
